MORGAN — No. 5-seeded Cedar Mountain swept No. 12-seeded Lester Prairie 25-17, 26-24, 25-16 on Monday in a Section 2A Volleyball Tournament match.

Kendra Erickson led the Cougars with 12 kills, 12 set assists and 12 digs. Reagyn Kleinschmidt added 17 set assists, eight kills and 10 digs, while Aubrey Steffl had 14 digs and nine kills. Brynn Hoffbeck added 13 digs and Sami Gruendemann had six kills.

Cedar Mountain (17-11) will now face No. 4-seeded Sleepy St. Mary’s (22-5) in the Section 2A quarterfinals at 7:45 pm on Thursday at St. Peter High School.

Redwood Valley 3, New Ulm 0

REDWOOD FALLS — Redwood Valley swept New Ulm 25-11, 25-10, 25-18 on Monday in a nonconference volleyball match. It was the regular season finale for both teams.

Isabelle Longtin had six set assists and three digs for the Eagles. Morgan Hulke had two kills and four digs and Calli Koop had three kills and three digs.

No. 8-seed New Ulm (4-23) will travel to No. 1-seed Marshall in the first round of the Section 2AAA Tournament on Wednesday.

BOLD 3, Cathedral 0

BIRD ISLAND — No. 7-seed BOLD swept No. 10-seed New Ulm Cathedral 25-22, 25-22, 25-19 on Monday in a Section 2A Volleyball Tournament match.

Shay Wilfahrt had 14 kills and 14 digs, while Abbey Hillesheim added 13 set assists, Ava Krueger had six kills and 12 digs and Jaylin Hartness added five kills five ace serves.

Cathedral finishes its season with a 12-13 record.

Cleveland 3, Madelia 0

CLEVELAND — No. 3-seed Cleveland swept No. 14-seed Madelia 25-14, 25-15, 25-14 on Monday in a Section 2A Volleyball Tournament match.

Ashlynn Sweet had 12 digs, seven kills and five blocks. Katie Bocock had seven set assists and six digs, while Alicia Lugo added four set assists and three digs. Lauryn Grev had seven digs, and Makayla Sorenson had three kills and six digs.

Madelia finishes its season with a 13-16-1 record.
