Arlington’s Stock Car Shootout rescheduled to Aug. 7
ARLINGTON — Arlington Raceway’s Stock Car Shootout, which was slated to take place Wednesday, July 31, was postponed due to inclement weather in the area.
The event has been rescheduled for next Wednesday, Aug. 7, with first races beginning at 7 p.m. All tickets and wristbands purchased for the event can be redeemed next Wednesday.
The event will feature three main classes, beginning with the Jack Pines Resort IMCA Hobby. The Arlington State Bank IMCA Northern Sport Modifieds will follow and finally the B&B Racing Chassis IMCA Stock Cars race will highlight the night. The grand prize for the Stock Cars event is a guaranteed $5,000 plus lap money, with $183 to start. The Sport Modifieds event has a top prize of $1,800, $108 to start, and the Hobbies event has a top prize of $750, $50 to start.
The cost to attend is $20 for grandstand admission, with the grandstand opening at 5 p.m., while a pit pass, which opens at 4 p.m., costs $35.
Some Minnesota cities being represented by racers include New Ulm, Hutchinson, Gibbon, Winthrop, Arlington, Glencoe, Le Sueur, Mankato, St. Peter, Madison Lake and Le Center.
