Saturday roundup: Nicollet sweeps home tourney

Nicollet 11, Sibley East 0 (Game 2)

NICOLLET — Nicollet defeated Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart 11-5 and Sibley East 11-0 in a home softball tournament Saturday.

Leah Bode got the win for the Raiders in Game 1, striking out seven while allowing two earned runs on seven hits. At the plate, Jasmyn Goettlicher was 2 for 3 with four RBIs and a double, while Bode was 2 for 4 with a triple, a double and an RBI. Cason Forbrook added a triple, two RBIs and two runs scored.

Bode got the complete-game shutout in Game 2, striking out seven while allowing five hits. Forbrook was 2 for 4 with two doubles and four RBIs, while Chloe Kachelmeier was 2 for 3 with two doubles, three RBIs and two runs scored. Morgan Black added two hits and two RBIs for Nicollet.

LCWM 5, Chatfield 3 (Game 1)

LCWM 4, Belle Plaine 1 (Game 2)

ROCHESTER — Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial won both of their games at the AA bracket at the Rochester Invite, defeating Chatfield 5-3 and Belle Plaine 4-1 on Saturday.

Nettie Parsons got the win in Game 1, striking out 12 while allowing nine hit. Parsons, Avery Voges and Sydney Kramer each had two hits for the Knights.

Voges got the win in Game 2 for LCWM, striking out 10 while allowing four hits. Julia Montgomery led the offense, going 3 for 3 with a home run.

LCWM (6-0) hosts Martin County West on Tuesday.
