NEW ULM — The New Ulm Eagles’ attack was firing on all cylinders in a Big South Conference soccer game Tuesday as they completed an 11-0 shutout of St. James Area/Madelia/Windom.
The Eagles scored seven goals in the first half.
“We had a gameplan coming in,” New Ulm head coach Dave Dake said. “And you know these guys play so well together. We just executed it pretty solidly.”
Brennan Shaver led the Eagles with four goals and two assists, while Dominick Kamrath had two goals and four assists. Junior Amoah and Maverick Johnson had two goals each, while Jackson Ocampo had a goal and two assists. Justin Thompson and Daniel Brownfield added an assist apiece.

Shaver assisted Johnson in the eighth minute before Thompson assisted Kamrath for a header in the 11th minute for a 5-0 lead.
Shaver earned a hat trick in the 12th minute on an assist by Kamrath before the scoring finally slowed down. Ocampo assisted Amoah in the 30th minute to give the Eagles a 7-0 lead at halftime.
Johnson continued the scoring in the second half off of an assist from Kamrath in the 46th minute, with Shaver scoring his fourth goal off an assist from Brownfield in the 49th minute. Kamrath scored his second goal assisted by Shaver in the 62nd minute before Amoah capped off the scoring in the 65th minute, assisted by Ocampo, to give New Ulm an 11-0 final score.
Dake said that the performance from his unit was indicative of the teamwork and chemistry they had.
“Throughout the season these guys always amaze me with how well they play together,” Dake said. “Their communication both on and off the field. I think one of the biggest takeaways here is that we can do it, we can face any team and challenge any team.”
New Ulm (4-2-1) hosts Waseca on Thursday.
