LUVERNE — The New Ulm VFW Silver baseball team went 2-1 over the weekend at the Buffalo Days Classic in Luverne, beating Pipestone 7-4 and Sanford Baseball Academy 9-4.

Silver fell to Marshall 6-0.

Collon Forstner and Henry Forst earned wins on the mound for Silver, while Condon Briggs picked up a save.

Parker Neubauer had five hits, including a triple and a double, to lead Silver at the Classic, while Brady Seidl and Spencer Drill each had three hits.
