REDWOOD FALLS — Sleepy Eye cruised to a 71-53 win over Redwood Valley on Monday night in nonconference girls basketball action.
Kadence Hesse led the Indians with 24 points, five rebounds, five assists and five steals, while Brea Mertz added 15 points, eight rebounds, five steals and three blocks and Paige Haala had 14 points and five rebounds. Jazzibelle Martinez added 9 points for Sleepy Eye also, while Brissa Hernandez had 7 points.
Sleepy Eye hosts Springfield Tuesday night.

JORDAN — Jordan defeated New Ulm 65-41 on Saturday evening in a nonconference girls basketball game.
New Ulm was led by Brooklyn Lewis’ 15 points, while Daviney Dreckman had 9 points and Morgan Hulke added 6 points.

Carleton 99, MLC 77
NEW ULM — Carleton earned a 99-77 win over Martin Luther College on Monday night in men’s basketball action.
Seth Veers led MLC with 23 points, while Thomas Balge had had 17 points.
MLC (0-8) opens Upper Midwest Athletic Conference play on Friday night hosting Northland.
