SLEEPY EYE — Sleepy Eye’s Kadence Hesse scored 13 points, had seven steals and seven rebounds as the Indians defeated New Ulm Cathedral in a Tomahawk Conference girls’ basketball game on Monday.

Kaydince Thoms had 13 points and four steals and Brea Mertz had 11 points and eight rebounds fror the Indians (5-4).

MADELIA — Madelia defeated Alden-Conger in a Valley Conference boys’ basketball game on Saturday.

Ja’Sean Glover led Madelia with 45 points and eight assists. Blake Altenburg had 19 points and Ramiro Zamora had nine steals.

Madelia (4-5, 3-5) is at Martin County West on Tuesday.
