NEW ULM — Less than a week after defeating Marshall in a Big South Conference girls’ soccer match, New Ulm and the Tigers matched up again and once again, the Eagles picked up the victory.

Bryn Nesvold scored two first-half goals and a late goal in the second half and Paige Kalis added two second-half goals as the Eagles won the Big South battle 5-0 at New Ulm High School. The win improves New Ulm’s record to 3-1 on the season.

New Ulm’s defense limited the Tigers all game and the offense was able to take advantage of some nice passing to set up the scoring opportunities.

Nesvold scored her first goal of the game on a pass from Kalis at 35:39. The Tigers had a chance to answer a couple of minutes later, but New Ulm goalkeeper Kendra Nesvold made the save.

Bryn Nesvold scored her second goal at 28:39 and the Eagles took that lead into halftime.

Kalis, who also had two assists, scored two goals in the second half to give the Eagles the 4-0 advantage and Nesvold added another goal with 2:46 left in the game.
