Springfield 68, RRC 48

SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield girls’ basketball team topped Red Rock Central 68-48 on Tuesday in nonconference girls’ basketball action.

The Tigers were led by Sydney Hauger’s 26 points, while Megan Ploeger had 13 points and Meriah Kirschstein added 10 points.

RRC’s Karli Arkell had 14 points, while Nicole Schroepfer had 13 points.

Springfield (1-0) is at Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s for a 7:30 p.m. Tomahawk Conference game on Tuesday.

Sibley East 56, Nicollet 37

ARLINGTON — Sibley East downed Nicollet 56-37 on Tuesday night in nonconference girls’ basketball action.

The Raiders (0-2) were led by Megan Frutiger’s 11 points and eight rebounds, while Marah Hulke added 11 points. Hayley Selby also had seven rebounds for the Raiders.

The Raiders next travel to take on Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s on Thursday, Dec. 5.
