STARK — The New Ulm Brewers eked out a 5-4 win over the Stark Longhorns in Region 2C playoff action on Sunday night.

Sam Berg was 2 for 3 for New Ulm, while J.T. Hoffmann homered and Hunter Ranweiler added a hit and an RBI. Mitch Bockenstadt got the win on the mound for the Brewers, pitching eight innings and giving up one earned run on seven hits while striking out 10.

Brandon Helget led Stark at the plate with a 3-for-4 game and an RBI, while Nick Labat was 2 for 4 with an RBI and a double. Dusty Mangen had a pair of RBIs for Stark, while Sean Mathiowetz doubled and scored a pair of runs.

Adam Sellner took the loss for Stark in six innings of relief, giving up one earned run on a pair of hits and a walk while striking out four.
