NORTHFIELD — Springfield/Cedar Mountain/Comfrey’s Mitchell Buerkle finished 38th overall at the Class A State Cross-Country meet on Saturday at St. Olaf College.

Buerkle finished the competition in 16:53.7. Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin’s Geno Uhrbom took first place overall with a time of 15:38. Perham won the team competition with a team score of 64.

On the girls’ side, Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop sophomore Grace Feder finished 33rd overall in 19:46.7. Grace Ping of Winona Cotter won the race with a time of 17:19.4. Perham won the team event with 94 points
