CM/C takes 5th place in tournament action Saturday
ST. LOUIS PARK — The Cedar Mountain/Comfrey volleyball team took fifth place in tournament action hosted by Benilde-St. Margaret’s on Saturday, going 2-2 on the day.
CM/C first defeated De La Salle 26-24, 25-19.
Erica Bock led the first match with 13 kills, while Abby Jemmings added 23 set assists.
The second match of the day had Simley beating CM/C 25-22, 25-18.
Makenzie Kerkhoff and Lexi Toll led with seven and six kills respectively. Kylie Wersal added 14 digs, while Kerkhoff added nine.
Benilde-St. Margaret’s defeated CM/C in the third Cougars’ match of the day 25-14, 23-25, 15-13.
Kerkhoff led in kills with eight, while Wersal added 19 digs and Jemmings added 21 set assists.
Finally, CM/C beat Mahtomedi 25-21, 25-16. Kerkhoff had seven kills for CM/C, while Jemmings added 21 set assists. Wersal and Jordan Kevelin had 14 and 10 digs respectively.
