BUFFALO LAKE — Both Abby Frauenholtz and Izzie Wolkow of New Ulm have emerged from Day 1 of the Section 3AA girls’ golf meet on Wednesday as qualifiers for the next round.

Frauenholtz and Wolkow both shot 92s, which assured them spots on Day 2 of the meet, which will take place on Tuesday at Oakdale. New Ulm girls’ coach Todd McKeeth said Wolkow beat her previous personal best by 5 strokes.

Lucy Sletta had a personal best of 110 and chipped in for birdie for the Eagles, while Makena Otto rounded out the team’s scoring with a 114.
