To the editor: I am embarrassed and angry, with our president. He is, being dictatorial He  attacked Venezuela militarily. He has offered to buy Greenland. Having been told it is not for sale, like a petulant child, he’s threatening to “take” Greenland “peacefully, or through military actions, if necessary.” These are also the words, and actions, of a dictator…president Trump dramatizes, sensationalizes, and, seems fine inciting further violence…giving him an excuse to have law enforcement, to move in dramatically, aggressively…reminiscent of the Nazi regime. To the editor: Horrifying does not even begin to describe what’s happening in Minnesota. ICE is charged with enforcing immigration laws inside the U.S. They do not have the legal authority to civilly detain American citizens. And yet, our people are being detained, threatened and brutalized. We are being asked to present papers showing our legal status. Think about that. To the editor: Looks like Minnesota is again on the map for all the wrong reasons. The shooting of Renee Good should have never happened and both parties will spin the narrative as they want to. But now we have riots again in the state, and protesters are following lCE Agents all over and harassing them. But my question is why was there never any protests and out cry against all the young women that were brutally murdered by illegal immigrants. Right now, Minnesota is in the national spotlight, and not for good reasons. First, because our state government failed to stop massive fraud. Then because federal immigration enforcement drew national attention, protests, and tragedy. To the Editor: In response to Rep. Paul Torkelson’s letter printed Jan. 13, thank you and Sen. Gary Dahms for holding town meetings with prior notification of your schedule. Our federal representatives could take a lesson! In my accounting background, I learned of fraud prevention — ethics, preventing embezzlement, auditing. Rep. Torkelson said he’s working to put an end to fraud in Minnesota and finally hold to account anyone who allowed the fraud to flourish. Where have you been since your start in 2009?
