Republicans without backbones enabling Trump

To the editor:

The last time I voted for a Republican candidate was 1988. I voted for Sen. David Durenbuger. This was when Republicans still had backbones and made sense.

There is a phrase “coming down on the wrong side of history”. I do believe this phrase captures the current position of Rep Brad Finstad — A Trump “Enabler” who follows Trump’s lead on policies, robbing medical research, militarizing law and order in some of our cities, murdering assumed drug smugglers, firing Federal employees at will, willy nilly tariffs that have at this point accomplished little except inflationary prices. He is trying to re-write Black history, he has attempted to downsize FEMA, yet in the meantime flew 1,000 people for a one day military showing of Generals and Admirals for what purpose?

I would love to see an itemized billing of that fiasco. I could go on-my list is pretty long. The party of “law and order”. Not so much, any more, with the recent pardon to billionaire crypto currency tycoon, Changpeng Zhao, and numerous others make a sham of Law and Order.

Social Security as we know it, is predicted to be in serious financial trouble by 2032, 2033. Mr Finstad are you or anyone in your party working on this issue? I am 75 years old and enjoy receiving my social security payments, as do most people. People who need help with basics like food and medical help are not getting it under Trump. The man is incompetent and dangerous, dare I say evil.

Recently, Brad Finstad was asked for a comment on the cattle industry, he did not oblige, which recently is his safest way to avoid contact with voters. My guess is he would not comment on Trump either, possibly to busy shining his dancing shoes for that ballroom grand opening.
