The rest of the story about BLM

To the editor:

I read with interest the article entitled “Why “Black Lives Matter'” in the 6/27-28 New Ulm Journal. I won’t refute what was written, but felt compelled to tell the rest of the story about the organization known as Black Lives Matter (BLM) that was omitted and is ignored by almost all of the main stream media.

I do support Black Americans because all lives matter. However, when you check out what BLM really stands for on their website, you will find some very shocking information. For example, this Marxist Mob says in their What We Believe page, “We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure.” We all know that the family is the backbone of our society. BLM was born in the ashes of the riots in Ferguson, Missouri in 2014. Violence has always been part of their twisted ideology.

BLM calls for the murder of police officers with words like: “Pigs in a blanket, fry ’em like bacon!” and “What do we want? Dead cops. When do we want it? Now!” Another BLM leader recently said, “If this country doesn’t give us what we want, then we will burn down the system.” People disrespect the police with words and actions: throwing bottles, bricks, and Molotov cocktails at police. Have you noticed that almost all of the violence is taking place in cities led by Democratic mayors, governors, and city councils?

Over 99 % of the police force is doing exactly what they are supposed to do. The police are not systemically racist. The facts from 2019 point out that twice as many unarmed whites were killed by police than blacks (19 VS 9). DEFEND our police, not defund them. They keep our communities safe.

BLM, together with Antifa, is spreading anarchy in our country through fear and intimidation. Unfortunately, the leading Democratic politicians are very slow in condemning their actions. Instead of pointing out the looting, arson, and destruction of property, the conspiracy-filled main stream media reports it as mostly peaceful protests. Ask the 500+ businesses that were destroyed in Minneapolis if the BLM protests were peaceful.

BLM says nothing about freeing Black people from social issues that keep them down, like Black-on-Black crimes, and massive abortion rates. Did you know that 20,000,000 Blacks have been killed in the mother’s womb through abortion since 1973? Did you know that last weekend 18 more Black people were killed in Chicago, including two children?

I love the United States of America. When you see the flag, especially this 4th of July, honor it and our country. God bless America.
