High gas prices in New Ulm
To the editor:
Why are gasoline prices so high in New Ulm compared to area cities? And why are gas prices in New Ulm among the first to go up and last to come down? Who is calling the shots?
In New Ulm this week, gasoline cost $2.94 per gallon. Contrast that to $2.78 in Mankato, $2.79 in Lake Crystal, $2.75 in St. James and $2.79 in Moorhead.
Surely, it can’t cost 16 cents more per gallon to truck bulk gasoline from Mankato to New Ulm.
