Save Riverside Park: Part 3
To the editor:
The Park and Recreation Department is once again trying to put a bike trail in Riverside Park.
The last two times they tried this the trail would have been under water — it’s in the flood plain.
There is just no common sense in the Park and Recreation Department. This trail will be a taxpayer nightmare. This trail is not safe. The trail is only a few feet from the river; it’s an accident waiting to happen. When the river floods it will put a coat of mud on it and river mud is just like grease.
They all ready put the park back 150 years with that mosquito and tick patch. I hope the land owners never give their permission.
