Carp can be good eating

To the editor:

In response to The Journal article, “What’s in the River?” (Saturday, April 9), carp can be a delicacy, especially when smoked. I have eaten smoked tulibee from Mille Lacs Lake to smoked carp obtained from local streams and river. My father-in-law prepared a soaking brine so that when the carp were smoked, they tasted like ham.
