Issues up for election Tuesday

We voted last November to elect a president, our U.S. representatives, and our state legislators. We also elected city councilors, school board members and county officials.

Next November we will be voting for U.S. representatives and senators, legislators, city, school and county officials again.

In the odd-numbered years there are few candidates and questions, but where there are, the questions are important.

In the GFW School District, for example, district voters are being asked to consider a couple of referendum questions pertaining to a school building and remodeling project. Nearly $38 million in bonding is up for approval from the voters.

This is an important question for those living in the GFW district, and it deserves just as big a turnout as a ballot loaded with national, state and local elections. We hope the people in the GFW district will take the opportunity to go to their polling places and make their decision.
