ECFE needs your response to survey

Early Childhood Family Education and Eagles Preschool offer a variety of programs for children birth to kindergarten and their families in our community.

Our expanded Eagles Preschool program offers four sections of Eagles 3 (preschool for 3 year olds) and six sections of Eagles 4 (preschool for 4 year olds), which means we have space for 168 preschoolers!

Our students spent the fall exploring the gardens outside the front of our building. They talked about how to take care of plants…they weeded, watered, harvested, and prepared the beds for winter. They checked the beds to watch the pumpkins grow. And best of all, they were able to taste what they grew. The watermelon was amazing!

Our Eagles 3 students have a cooking activity each month. Children can learn so much in the kitchen! They took turns measuring ingredients, counting scoops, saw how the consistency of ingredients change when combined, and then they ate what they made. Please invite your child into the kitchen to prepare meals; it’s a great family activity that also builds on school readiness skills

Within the next couple months we will be starting to enroll children into our Eagles 3 and Eagles 4 program for next school. If you would like to be notified when the online registration site opens, please contact our office.

Early Childhood Family Education offers weekly classes to parents along with their children who are aged birth to kindergarten. We have over 100 parents and children attending out 9-week session. We also offer one-time events for parents and children and trainings for child care providers. This fall we had 500 parents and children attend our Community Halloween Party. We would like to thank the Optimist Club of New Ulm, 3M, New Ulm Park and Rec and our other partners for their help in providing this great family activity to our community.

Community Education, ECFE, and Eagles Preschool are conducting a Community Needs Assessment to determine how to best meet the needs of those in our community. Please consider taking a moment to complete the survey (https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PPJLCJZ, or use the QR code above). We need your voice!

If you are new to the community, do not receive mailings from ECFE or have questions about any of our programs, please contact our ECFE Office at 233-8311, email Betty Uehling at buehling@newulm.k12.mn.us, or connect with us through our Facebook page: ECFE-New Ulm.
