Eagle Update: ECFE

Early Childhood Family Education and Eagles Preschool offer a variety of programs for children birth to kindergarten and their families in our community.

Eagles Preschool program offers four sections of Eagles 3 (preschool for 3 year old’s) and six sections of Eagles 4 (preschool for 4 year old’s), which means we have space for 168 preschoolers!

Our students spent the fall exploring the gardens outside the front of our building. They talked about how to take care of plants…they weeded, watered, harvested, and prepared the beds for winter. They checked the beds to watch the pumpkins grow. And best of all, they were able to taste what they grew. The watermelon was amazing!

Our Eagles 3 students love to “cook”. Children can learn so much in the kitchen! They take turns measuring ingredients, counting scoops, saw how the consistency of ingredients changed when combined, and then they ate what they made. Please invite your child into the kitchen to prepare meals, it’s a great family activity that also builds on school readiness skills.

Registration for the 2022-2023 school year opens Tuesday, January 11. We still have openings if you would like your child to finish out the year with us. We offer a sliding fee scale for those who qualify and limited in-town busing.

Early Childhood Family Education offers weekly classes to parents, along with their children who are ages birth to kindergarten. We offer 9-week morning classes, two sessions of five-week classes in the evening, as well as infant classes. Over 50 families participated in our weekly ECFE classes last session. We also offer one-time events for parents and children such as our upcoming Family Fair and Vehicle Fair. Registration for Session II, which begins in February, opens on Monday, January 10.
