Marion D. Brueske

NEW ULM–Marion D. Brueske, age 96, of New Ulm, died Thursday, September 4, 2025 at the Sleepy Eye Care Center.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – SOUTH Chapel in New Ulm, with Pastor Nathan Scharf officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in New Ulm. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – SOUTH Chapel in New Ulm, and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Marion is survived by her son, Dale (Juliann) Brueske of New Ulm; daughter-in-law, Barbara Brueske of New Ulm; sisters, Irene Vogel of Courtland and Bernice Polzin of New Auburn; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy in 1983; sons, Roy and Gary Brueske; sisters, Loraine Krohn, Agnes Langhoff, Delores Langhoff, Francis Miller, and Geneva Thomas; brother, Erwin “Erv” Boelter; half-brothers, Lester and Norman Boelter; brothers-in-law, Vernon Vogel, Barney Neuman, Clyde Thomas, Orville Polzin, Emery Langhoff, Richard “Dick” Langhoff, Elmo Krohn, and Floyd Miller; and sisters-in-law, Margaret Boelter, Erma Boelter, Esther Brueske, and Vera Boelter.
Marion Della Boelter was born on April 29, 1929 in New Ulm to Herman and Frieda (Gehrke) Boelter. She was united in marriage to LeRoy Brueske on June 30, 1951 at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Parsonage on June 30, 1951. Marion was employed at Cutty’s Plant, Ben Franklin, and the New Ulm Greenhouse. In addition, she provided daycare services. Marion enjoyed baking, fishing, gardening, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.
