SPRINGFIELD–Eugene J. Belden, 80, of Springfield, Minnesota died Friday, February 23, 2024, at Franklin Restorative Care Center in Franklin, Minnesota. A private memorial service will be held at Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield Chapel. The clergy will be Chaplain Noel Wetter. Interment will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are with Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sturmfh.com Eugene is survived by his wife of 56 years, Darlene Belden of Springfield; son, Kelly Belden (girlfriend Lori) of St. James; and sister, Judy Liesenfeld of New Ulm. He was preceded in death by his parents.
