EDEN PRAIRIE–Carol Forsberg, 82, of Eden Prairie, died Monday, August 14th, 2023 at The Waters of Eden Prairie.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 26th at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, in New Ulm with a visitation one hour prior. Pastor Kathy Ulland-Klinkner will be officiating. Private interment will take place at Zion Lutheran Church in Anoka, Minnesota.

Carol Mae (Fosland) Forsberg, the daughter of Conrad and Vivian (Norskog) Fosland, was born on May 17th, 1941 and lived in Bird Island, Minnesota. She lived on the farm until she was twelve-years-old when the Fosland family moved to Richfield, Minnesota. Carol graduated from Richfield High School in 1959. She married her high school sweetheart, Jack Forsberg, on September 10th, 1960. The couple resided in Milwaukee from 1962-1964 while Jack was in the army. From there, they moved to Virginia, Minnesota where they welcomed their first child, Michael Scott. They returned to Richfield where their family was complete with two daughters, Christine Renae and Connie Lee.The family moved to Owatonna, Minnesota in 1976 where Carol worked at Northwestern Bank and Jack managed the Perkins Family Restaurant. In 1984, Jack and Carol purchased the Perkins restaurant in New Ulm, Minnesota and lived there for thirty-seven years. Carol lost her husband, Jack, to cancer on August 20th, 2010. In November, 2021 Carol moved closer to her family, residing at The Waters of Eden Prairie.
Carol cherished her family, friends, and church. She was passionate about her faith and dedicated to her church community, Our Saviors Lutheran Church of New Ulm. Carol volunteered, served as an assistant minister & lector, was a deacon on the church council, and sang in the choir. To God be the glory!
Family and friends were the recipients of many practical jokes and her infectious humor. Carol was known for her quick wit that often made people laugh. She made friends wherever she would go and left her mark! Carol was an avid reader, crossword puzzle expert, and loved her furry companions.
She is survived by her son Michael Scott Forsberg (Patty Carroll), daughters Christine Gosch (Jeffrey Kohlmetz), and Connie Tiede (Mark), grandchildren David and Thomas Forsberg, Peyton and Landon Gosch, Lucas Tiede (Paige), Linnea Yadav (Nikesh), and Carolynn Tiede, Sister Yvonne Bluth and sister-in-law Jan Traff, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. Carol was preceded in death by her husband Jack, sister Joanne Bock, brothers-in-law Thomas Traff and Thomas Bluth, brother Don Fosland, and sister-in-law Joyce Fosland.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred for Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in New Ulm, Minnesota.
