On Sept. 21, 1942 she married Walter (Pat) Haas and they resided on their family farm in Sigel Township. Known as the “Lace Lady”, she learned to make Klöppel lace at age 7 from her grandmother and went on to teach 213 others. She made friends wherever she went and will be missed for her quick wit and generous hugs. Whenever she was asked how she feels she’d smile and say, “With my fingers!”

The family would like to thank all the nurses, caregivers, family and friends who dedicated themselves to caring for and bringing comfort to her, she truly appreciated and loved all of you.
