Ruth Delores Kaseforth
Ruth Delores Kaseforth passed away peacefully with family by her side on Aug. 21, 2022, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield, Minnesota, at the age of 95 years.
Visitation will be on Friday, Aug. 26, 2022, from 9:30-11 a.m. at the Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield Chapel.
Service will be held at the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield on Friday at 11 a.m.
The clergy will be Chaplain Noel Wetter. Interment will be at the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Springfield.

Ruth was born Aug. 14, 1927, on the Ohlemann family farm north of Sanborn, Minnesota. She was the youngest of 10 siblings born to Carl and Theresa (Ork) Ohlemann. She married Edwin G. Kaseforth on Sept. 20, 1947, at Central Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, and they made their home on the family farm before retiring and moving to Springfield in 1984.
Ruth is survived by her children, Marsha Schmidt, Donna Schmidt and John (Roseanne) Kaseforth, all of Springfield; grandchildren, Tammy Hatlestad (special friend Eric Stockland) of Spicer, Matthew (Kari) Schmidt of Sleepy Eye, Allison (Josh) Nachreiner, Johnny Kaseforth and Joseph Kaseforth, all of Springfield; great-grandchildren, Sadie Hatlestad, Ian and Eva Nachreiner; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Edwin; sons-in-law, Clyde Schmidt and Charles Schmidt; siblings, Ada (Conrad) Batzlaff, Ann (Red) King, Lucille (Sandy) Sandbo, Martha (Louie) Fonken, Florence (Harry) Anderson, Harold (Cora) Ohlemann, Edward (Norma) Ohlemann, Martin (Ila) Ohlemann and Otto (Alice) Ohlemann.
Ruth was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she enjoyed volunteering. She was a member of the Rebekah Circle and the Quilting Ladies. Ruth enjoyed caring for her grandchildren in her retired years, gardening, baking and spending time with family.
