Agnes E. Langhoff

Agnes E. Langhoff, age 96, passed away peacefully at her home in Hemet, California.

A Celebration of Life will be held on her birthday, Friday, June 24, 2022, at 11 a.m. at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Homes-South Chapel in New Ulm. Pastor Nick Scutari will officiate. Burial will be at 1:15 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2022, at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Brighton Township.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2022, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Homes-South Chapel in New Ulm.

Agnes is survived by her daughters, JoAnn (Winston “Chuck”) Hansen of Isanti, Betty (Victor) Kotten of Albany, Debra (Tom) Cahir of Canyon Lake, California; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sisters, Geneva Thomas, Irene Vogel, Marion Brueske, Francis Miller, Bernice (Orville) Polzin; brother, Erwin Boelter; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four sons and a daughter in infancy; sisters, Deloris Langhoff, Lorraine Krohn; and brothers, Lester Boelter and Norman Boelter.

Agnes Elise Boelter was born June 24, 1924, to Herman and Frieda (Gehrke) Boelter in Grafton Township. The family moved to New Ulm two years later. Agnes was married to Wilhelm “Dick” Langhoff in 1946 and they moved to Klossner. She moved back to New Ulm in 1973 and, later in life, moved to California. She lived her last few years at Vista Montana in Hemet, California, and made many good friends there. Agnes enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, reading, playing cards, watching TV, and volunteering at St. Michael’s Apartments. She was the president of the Tenants Council at St. Michael’s and was a member of various church groups. Agnes will be dearly missed by those that knew her. Blessed be her memory.
