Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, with Father Gerald Meidl officiating. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery. The Christian Mothers will be praying the Rosary 4 p.m. at the Cathedral on Wednesday.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Homes–NORTH Chapel and will continue from 9:30 -10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Dolores is survived by her sons, Thomas Schugel, Randy (Lisa) Schugel, Jeffrey (Tammy) Schugel; 5 grandchildren, Angie, Stacy, AJ, Josh and Isaac; 17 great-grandchildren and son-in-law, Steven Marti.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Karen Marti; granddaughter, Brenda Jean Marti; brothers, Walter and Florian Seifert; sister, Alice Rolloff; and daughter-in-law, Renee Schugel.

Dolores Alma Seifert was born Nov. 13, 1928, to Robert and Clara (Wiltcheck) Seifert in New Ulm. Delores attended country school in Sigel Township. Delores worked as a cook at the Veigel Kaiserhoff for 38 years, where she enjoyed making those fantastic ribs until 2004 when she retired. She was a member of the Cathedral Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers. Dolores was an avid bingo player and Minnesota Twins fan. She loved entertaining family and friends especially around the holidays — nobody ever left her house hungry. Dolores will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Blessed be her memory.
