Dean was born July 14, 1971, to Dennis and Sandra Wegner in New Ulm. He graduated from New Ulm High School and attended MSU and Evergreen College. Dean lived for many years in Durango and Boulder, Colorado, and worked as a tile setter. He loved playing his guitar and writing songs.

Dean will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Dean is survived by his father, Dennis Wegner of New Ulm; aunts and uncles, Patrica (Bill) Gray of Butterfield, Priscilla Wegner of Comfrey; cousins, Cris Bertilson of Carrington, North Dakota, Mike Wegner of Comfrey and Mike’s daughter, Isabelle Wegner of Glencoe.

Dean was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Wegner, and his grandparents, Herbert and Mildred Wegner and Paul and Cora Schmidt.

Private family services will be held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in New Ulm at a later date.
