Carol A. Stoltz

Carol Ann Stoltz of New Ulm died on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at New Ulm Medical Center.

Born on June 6, 1938, Carol was the daughter of Harris and Ruth Schultz of Jefferson, Wisconsin. She was married to Robert Stoltz on August 7, 1960. They were married for 50 years.

Carol was a baptized child of God whose life was a testament to her selfless and giving nature. She showed this selflessness as a dedicated Lutheran school teacher. She also showed this selflessness as a faithful, caring and supportive wife. Her giving nature was evident as she raised her family with an immense measure of love, empathy, and devotion. Carol’s friends knew her as a loyal Christian woman who always had time to listen and lend a hand when needed.

Carol loved her Lord and her church. For many years she volunteered by giving her time to the Prison Ministry Program and helping with the church’s friendship register. She loved being with friends and family as much as possible. She also found room in her heart to love puzzles, reading, ice cream, chocolate, the Hallmark Channel, the Minnesota Twins and the Green Bay Packers.

Carol is survived by her two sons and their families. Todd, Janae, and Evan Stoltz of Green Lake, WI, and David, Julie, Matthew, Allie, and Jacob of West Bend, WI. She is also survived by two brothers: Dennis (Carolyn) Schultz of Wauwatosa, WI, and Mark (Denise) Schultz of Edgerton Wisconsin. Finally, she is survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and three infant children.

The funeral service for Carol will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, New Ulm, beginning at 11:00 on Thursday, Sept. 16. Visitation will take place from 9:00 until the time of the service.

Memorials in Carol’s honor can be directed to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of New Ulm and Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School, also of New Ulm.
