A graveside service will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at St. George Catholic Cemetery in St. George.

All guests in attendance are required to follow social distancing guidelines.

Ken is survived by his sister, Marlys Matties of New Ulm; and a brother, Leon Matties of rural Gibbon.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Kenneth Anton Matties was born on February 20, 1948, in New Ulm to Edwin & Stella (Beyer) Matties. Farming was Ken’s life, and he continued to farm right up to his passing. He also enjoyed meeting up with “the guys” for coffee and conversation.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donor’s choice.
