Denis James Iverson was born May 1, 1931 to Ingval and Dina (Kaegbein) Iverson in New Ulm. He was the youngest of thirteen children. Denis attended grade school and enlisted in the United States Navy. Denis served on the USS Midway on the flight deck during the Korean Conflict. After his service, Denis began working at Kraft as one of the original twelve workers. He worked his entire career there until his retirement.

Denis was united in marriage to Elaine Zangel. Their union was blessed with four children. Denis enjoyed pheasant and small game hunting with his sons. He was an avid mushroom hunter, fantastic gardener, and a great cook! He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was always ready to hold anyone or any two of them. The great grandkids all lovingly called him “Bebop.” He loved limburger cheese, braunschweiger, sauerkraut with bread dumplings, and lutefisk and lefse. He also loved his little three legged buddy, Corky the dog. Denis will be dearly missed by all that knew him. Blessed be his memory.
