She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, LeRoy Reinhart in 1987; infant grandson, Michael Garding; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Reinhart; sisters, Martha Neidecker, Rose Hamann, Agnes Lamecker; and her brother, Otto Lamecker.

Marie Ann Lamecker was born April 8, 1923, to Alois and Annie (Portner) Lamecker in New Ulm. She was a 1941 graduate from Cathedral High School. On November 9, 1942, Marie was united in marriage to LeRoy Reinhart at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. Their union was blessed with four children whom together they raised in New Ulm, St. Michael, and Mankato. Marie had most recently been working as a dispatcher for the Minnesota State Patrol in Mankato before retiring to New Ulm in 1986. Marie was a truly strong and independent woman her entire life. The most important things to her were her family and her faith. She was a devout and dedicated member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity where she volunteered countless hours serving the congregation as well as with the Christian Mothers. Besides her work, there were a variety of things Marie enjoyed in life. She loved old time music her entire life. Good times were shared dancing the nights away at George’s Ballroom in New Ulm with her husband LeRoy. She also loved to socialize over a good game of sheepshead at the table, with friends at the bowling alley, or volunteering as a Turner Lady. Many great memories were made on trips with the grandkids to the cabin on the Whitefish chain over the years as well. Marie enjoyed to work with her hands and was a truly gifted crafter. Her ceramic works, needlepoint crafts, and crocheted afghans will be cherished my members of her family for generations to come. All these memories and so many more will forever stay in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be missed, but never forgotten. Blessed be her memory.
