He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law Joseph F. Schneider, best friend Spike, and constant fishing companion Gary Clyne.

Richard William Clyne was born June 16, 1946 in New Ulm to Joseph and Margaret (Maas) Clyne. He was united in marriage to Norma Schneider on Jan. 14, 1967 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. Rich was employed at Heymann Construction, Clyne’s Canine Clippers, and New Ulm Bus Lines until his retirement. Rich’s hobbies included hunting deer, pheasant, racoon, and fox. He also enjoyed fishing and playing pool.

Rich loved life. He found happiness and peace in the woods surrounded by nature and wildlife. He enjoyed early mornings on the lake with a fishing pole in his hands. Rich had a passion for the game of pool and enjoyed the good times, friends, success, and travel as a benefit of the many hours of practice he put in.

Of all the things in life that truly made him happy, his family always came first. Every get together, birthday party, celebration, and holiday were the highlight of his life. Ask any of his grandchildren about grandpa and you will get a huge smile. His love, support, and protection for his wife and daughters were constant. He was the heart of the family.
