Funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2019, at 4 P.M. at the Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe, with Pastor Linzy Collins officiating. Interment will be in the Glencoe City Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2 hours prior at the Funeral Chapel.

Gregory “Greg” Bernard Fleck was born October 8, 1954, in Sleepy Eye, MN. He was the son of Leo and Colleen (Lammers) Fleck. Greg was baptized and confirmed at Holy Trinity Cathedral Church in New Ulm, MN. He received his education in New Ulm, graduating with the New Ulm High School Class of 1974.

On May 4, 1974, Greg was united in marriage to LuAnn Picha at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Glencoe. Greg and LuAnn made their home on a farm in Glencoe. Their marriage was blessed with seven children, Jason, Katie, Matthew, Nathan, Devin, Markus and Di. Greg and LuAnn shared over 45 years of marriage.

Greg was a truck driver, held various positions at the Glencoe Municipal Electric Plant, worked as a paraprofessional at GSL and most recently, farmed with his son, Matthew. He was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Glencoe.

Greg loved tinkering with engines, listening to classic country music, drinking coffee and talking shop. He was called to study as a Lay servant minister. He enjoyed his time over the road and working with the kids at school. Greg loved his trip to China and enjoyed learning about their culture. Greg was simply there for everyone, whether you needed a hand or needed advice or just needed someone to be. He cherished the time spent with his family and friends.

Greg is survived by his wife, LuAnn Fleck of Glencoe; children, Katie Payne of St. Cloud, Matthew Fleck (friend, Toni Mochinski) of Hutchinson, Nathan Fleck (friend, Holly Goulet) of Glencoe, Devin Fleck of Glencoe, Markus Fleck of Glencoe, and Di Fleck of Glencoe; grandchildren, Collin Fleck of Winthrop, Andrew Fleck of Glencoe, Jordan Benson of Glencoe, Shelby Goulet of Glencoe, Dylan Goulet of Glencoe, Preston Goulet of Glencoe, siblings, Sue Jacobs (John) of New Ulm, Maggie Steffl (Pat) of New Ulm, Mary Jenneke (Dave) of Glencoe, Leo Jr. Fleck (Roxanne) of New Ulm, Robert Fleck (Pam) of Mankato, mother-in-law, Charmaine Picha of Glencoe, many nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Colleen Fleck; son, Jason Fleck; Siblings, Mary Ann Fleck, Mark Fleck, David Fleck; Father in Law, Maynard Picha; and Son in Law, Brad Payne.
