Kathleen Mae “Kitty” Rolloff

Kitty Rolloff, 88, passed away on August 14, 2018 in Sacramento, CA after a fall at home. She was preceded in death by Ervin Rolloff, her loving husband of 58 years, by her beloved sister Lois Sackett and her half-brother Robert Jensen. Kitty is survived by son Richard (Sally) Rolloff, daughter Linda (Allan) Mounts, and half-brother Arlon Schmid. She was a devoted Nana to Katie (Jason) Stricker, John (Tracy) Little, Alexis Rolloff, and Erin (Blake) Matzen. She was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren with one more on the way.

Kitty was born September 30, 1929 in New Ulm to Helen and Carl Schmid. She attended Holy Trinity High School before marrying Ervin. Erv and Kitty farmed in New Ulm until they moved to Sacramento in 1956 where Ervin operated Rolloff’s Arco Station for 23 years. She worked as bookkeeper for the station in addition to being a homemaker. She expressed her creativity in ceramics, stained glass, crocheting, gardening, and dressmaking.

Kitty made friends easily and was very out-going. Her laughter, love, and humor will remain part of our memories. She will be deeply missed and held in our hearts forever.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 8th at 11 a.m.. at Lombard Funeral Home, 1550 Fulton Ave., Sacramento. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fulton-El Camino Rec. and Park District (Cottage Senior Club) in Kitty’s name or to a charity of your choice.
