She was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Margaret Moselle; brothers, George, Greg, Donald, William, Jack, and Richard Moselle; sisters, Rose Marie, Barbara Hamilton, Beverly Summerfield, Patricia Dols; sisters-in-law, Goldie Moselle, Toby Moselle, Dorothy Warta; and brothers-in-law, Dewell Hamilton and Arthur Dols.

Lois Margaret Moselle was born September 10, 1929 in St. Paul to Anton and Margaret (Flack) Moselle. She attended St. Lawrence grade school and was a 1947 graduate of Minneapolis South High School. She was employed at National School Studios in Minneapolis. Lois was united in marriage to Norman Warta on October 27, 1951 at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Minneapolis. At that time, Norman was serving in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. After marriage, they moved to San Antonio, Texas for a few years. The couple then returned to Norman’s home town of New Ulm, Minnesota to make their home. Lois was a home-maker, employed at Martin Luther College in the food service area for several years, and also worked at Randall’s Grocery store restaurant until her retirement.

Lois was a devout member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity church in New Ulm where she was active with the St. Elizabeth Society, the Christian Mothers, and also sang with the Cathedral Funeral Choir for nearly 25 years. Besides her involvement with the church, Lois was also a member of the New Ulm American Legion Auxiliary where she served as past president and was also a member of the DAV Chapter 15 Auxiliary. Lois served as President of The Girl Scout Association for 20 years. For enjoyment in her past, Lois dearly loved to bowl. She bowled for 47 years, and was inducted into the New Ulm Bowling Hall of Fame in 2000. To relax, many hours were spent tending to her beautiful flower gardens over the years. To share her musical talents, Lois sang with the funeral choir, the New Ulm CAST Choir, the Hummdinger Band, and the Kitchen Clatter Band performing at hospitals and retirement homes. She also volunteered for many events with the New Ulm American Legion and her church.

Lois loved playing sheephead, bowling, cooking for her family, crafting, and watching classical musical movies; but what she loved most in life was spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Blessed be her memory.
