Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on January 12, 2018, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 9:00-10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 12, 2018, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home NORTH CHAPEL.

Lorna was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Eckstein; parents, Roman and Clara Berg; and siblings, Melvin (Buddy), Marilyn Rewitzer, Marlys (Peggy) Berg, and Ronald Berg.

She is survived by her children, Gary (Laurel) Eckstein of Buffalo, Kevin Eckstein of Clarkfield; Brian (Hillary) Eckstein of Burnsville, Tim Eckstein of Belle Plain; and 5 grandchildren.

Lorna Lillian Eckstein was born in New Ulm on July 12, 1927, to Roman and Clara Berg. She was married to Leo Eckstein on June 6, 1950, at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. They moved to Marshall, MN, where they raised their family. Lorna was a long time resident of Marshall and worked at Marshall Public Schools for many years.
