David Gudgeon

NEW ULM — David Gudgeon, 57, of New Ulm passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017 at his home in New Ulm.

Service will be 11:30 am on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – NORTH Chapel with Pastor Phill Andreasen officiating. A private family burial will take place at a later date.

Visitation will be from 9:30 – 11:30 am Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – NORTH Chapel.

David is survived by his wife Lynn Gudgeon; daughters, Stacy (Dustin) Domeier, Tonya Fuson, Chelsey (Jon) Kral; sons, Jeremy Frederickson, Cody (Melissa Lee) Gudgeon; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Tom (Nancy) Gudgeon, Raymond Gudgeon and Patrick (Anita) Gudgeon; his sisters, Mary (Jim) Stewart, Ginny Sonheim, Nancy Gudgeon and Rosemarie Schrieder; special nephews Ed Gudgeon and Jason Peters and many more nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Ed, Michael and Rich Gudgeon.

David Alfred Gudgeon was born on August 30, 1960 in Waukegan, IL to Thomas and Virginia (Robinson) Gudgeon. He grew up in Antioch, IL and later moved to Minnesota. On May 2, 1992 he married Lynn Bloedel of New Ulm, MN. David had a passion for driving semi-truck. He owned and operated his own company, Gudgeon Trucking, where he worked with his son Cody, nephew Eddie and family friend Jason. Attending the annual truck show in September together was one of his favorite times of the year. When he wasn’t working he enjoyed spending his spare time with family and friends. He had a passion for riding his motorcycle and an avid appreciation for old cars.
