Citizens Bank Minnesota, a community-owned bank, is headquartered in New Ulm.

Branch offices are located in Lafayette, La Salle, Lakeville, Watkins, and Ormsby.

Chartered in 1876, Citizens Bank Minnesota is one of the oldest banks in Minnesota. It has 110 full-time employees.

Not only a community bank with energetic participation and support in the growth and success of communities it serves, but it also community-owned, with stock widely held by area residents.

Community ownership allows the bank to be sensitive to the needs of customers and provide services at reasonable rates plus flexibility to meet customer’s unique financial needs.

Team members pride themselves in their core values of excellence, integrity, culture, loyalty and innovation.

Citizens Bank Minnesota President/CEO Mark Denn said the bank has transitioned to a digital format allowing online banking anytime and anywhere.

“We’ll still have the personal, community bank touch but we’re catering to the next generations with a completely digital format,” Denn said.

“This allows people to apply online for residential and commercial real estate loans, home equity lines of credit,” he said.

Citizens Bank Minnesota Marketing Director Missy Visser said the digital services are live on the bank website.

“We still have that community bank feel, but we’re delivering it another way with digital capabilities so people can apply for loans at 10 p.m. from home or wherever, if they want to,” said Denn.

“Our banking platform is expanding all the time,” he added.

Visser said personal and checking loans can be applied for with the Citizens Bank Minnesota app.

Denn said bank disclosures are delivered electronically and will be e-signed.

Citizens Bank Minnesota added a phone cloud platform.

“This allows for first call resolution. When you call in, you will be taken care of immediately. We have a live person answering the phone. Problems will be resolved with no more than one or two transfers,” said Denn.

He said the bank delivers service geared to what the demographic wants in each community it serves.

“In Lakeville, a lot of people, nearly half of them, work from home. We deliver digitally to them to make everybody happy,” Denn said.

“We always want to be on the cutting edge, keeping up with new technology and whats coming next. Our vision statement is delivering the ultimate experience,” said Visser.
