New Ulm Police • Responded to a theft report at 8:22 a.m. Thursday at Kwik Trip South, 1521 S. Broadway. A 24-year-old New Ulm man was cited for stealing a liter bottle of Dr. Pepper valued at $3. He was given a trespass warning. A report was done for documentation. New Ulm Police • Stopped a vehicle driven by a 35-year-old New Ulm man for expired registration at 5:39 p.m. Tuesday at Broadway and 16th St. N. He was cited for failure to transfer title, attempt to escape tax and driving without a valid driver’s license. Reports went to Brown and Sibley County Probation. • Stopped a vehicle driven by a 54-year-old Minnesota Lake man for an equipment violation at Broadway and 13th St. N. at 1:23 a.m. Wednesday. The driver was cited for driving after revocation and open cannabis package in motor vehicle. A report was done for documentation.

Minnesota State Patrol • Responded to a one-vehicle crash on westbound TH 60 to southbound TH 15, Fieldon Township, Watonwan County at 9:09 a.m. Friday. A 2025 Freightliner semi driven by David Andrew Carver, 55, Farmington, was on the ramp from westbound TH 60 to to TH 15 when it tipped over in the west ditch of the ramp. Carver wore a seat belt. He was transported to a Madelia hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Madelia Fire/Ambulance and Police and the Watonwan County Sheriff’s Office assisted. Alcohol was not involved.
