New Ulm Police • Received a report of a fake $20 bill in Concordia Lanes deposits at 4:05 p.m. Wednesday. A report went to investigators. • Arrested and transported a 56-year-old Dallas man to the Brown County Jail on a Texas warrant at 2:07 a.m. Thursday. The man is also suspected of assaulting a 25-year-old New Ulm woman in a minor altercation on the 2400 block of North Broadway.
New Ulm Police • Received a skip-scanning theft report from Aug. 10 to Oct. 5 at Walmart at 7:16 p.m. Tuesday involving a 62-year-old Winthrop man and 55-year-old Winthrop woman. They were cited for misdemeanor theft. Total value of the items was $179.75. • Responded to a domestic call at 11:35 p.m. Tuesday. A 37-year-old New Ulm woman complained of left hip pain but did not seek medical attention. New Ulm Police • Responded to a Riverbend Area Learning Center report at 1:43 p.m. Tuesday of a 16-year-old Gibbon boy in possession of a vape. The boy admitted it was a THC vape. He was cited for underage possession/use of cannabis. A report went to Brown County Probation. Brown County Sheriff’s Office • Received a vehicle-deer crash report at 6:56 a.m. Tuesday near CR 27/225th Ave., Home Township. A 31-year-old Sleepy Eye man was not injured. A deer permit was issued. The vehicle was towed due to disabling damage.

Michael Meyer, 63, New Ulm, was driving a 1988 Chevrolet R20 northbound on CR 29, approaching Highland when a 2016 Ford Taurus driven westbound on Highland Ave. by Nancy Hillesheim, 77, Lake Crystal, began to turn southbound on CR 29 and collided with the Chevrolet. Minnesota State Patrol • Responded to a two-vehicle crash at 7:59 a.m. Thursday on State Highway 15, Lafayette Township, Nicollet County. A 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt driven northbound by Taylor Ann Natalie, 23, New Ulm, collided with a southbound 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Jolene Marie Briard, 63, Gaylord.
