New Ulm Police • Responded to a driving complaint of a vehicle swerving and arrested a 35-year-old Boone, Ia. Man near CR 25 and CR 13 in Sigel Township for second-degree DWI at 2:22 p.m. Saturday. The man was transported to detox prior to the Brown County Jail. • Stopped a vehicle for weaving in its lane near 20th St. S and Valley St. at 11:25 p.m. Saturday. The driver, a 74-year-old Courtland man, was arrested for DWI and transported to the Brown County Jail. Pending blood test results, a report will go to the Brown County Attorney’s Office. New Ulm Police • Took a driving complaint of a truck doing “burnouts” in the city hall parking lot at 11:28 p.m. Sunday. The suspected truck was located and stopped. Police talked to the driver, a 49-year-old New Ulm who was apparently under the influence of alcohol. After he failed field sobriety testing, he was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail. A 2025 Subaru Outback driven by Jade Marie Gleisner, 37, New Ulm, was eastbound on 7th South and collided with a 2001 GMC Sonoma driven by Steven Bruce Engelby, 67, New Ulm, who was southbound on Minnesota St. and failed to stop for a stop sign.
