New Ulm Police • Met with a 16-year-old New Ulm boy and his mother at 8:22 p.m. Saturday who said they were being “blackmailed.” The boy sent images of his face and private parts to an Instagram address and received information that unless be began making payments, the photos would be sent to his friends and family with Instagram accounts. The boy was advised not to make contact with the individual on Instagram. The boy and his mother said they did not send any funds to the scammer. New Ulm Police • Responded to a two-vehicle crash without injuries at 6:34 p.m. Friday at Center and Payne Street. A 2016 GMC Acadia driven by northbound on Payne Street by Nathan Haubrich, 45, Belgrade, that collided with a westbound 2023 Ford Edge driven on Center by Annamarie Wilfahrt, 72, New Ulm. Damage was moderate to the passenger rear side door and quarter panel of the GMC and moderate to the front of the Ford. Both drivers wore seat belts.

New Ulm Police • Received a report at 12:49 p.m. Thursday of a 32-year-old homeless man who did not pay rent and damaged 19 items totaling $2,700 at the Colonial Inn, 1315 N. Broadway. The trespass notice was processed for the suspect. A report was done for documentation. • An Harassment Restraining Order (HRO) violation was processed for a 41-year-old homeless man on the 600 block of North Broadway at 5:11 p.m. Thursday. • Cited a 24-year-old Sleepy Eye man for DWI at 12:08 a.m. Friday at Jefferson St. North and 14th Street. New Ulm Police • Received a theft report from Walmart at 4:24 p.m. Tuesday involving six incidents since June 13 totaling $111.11 of mostly produce items. The suspect is a 32-year-old Springfield man. A report went to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office for misdemeanor theft charges. • Received a criminal damage to property report at 8:04 a.m. Wednesday involving a smashed garage door at Oakwood Estates overnight. Police said they have no suspects yet and no damage estimate.

A 38-year-old Lamberton man was cited for expired registration and unsafe equipment after pulling a trailer without tires on a gravel road. • Transported a 32-year-old Comfrey woman to the Brown County Evaluation Center Detox Division after her mother requested she be taken to detox due to intoxication at 11:50 a.m. Saturday. Minnesota State Patrol • Responded to a two-vehicle crash with non-life threatening injuries reported at 11:33 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Highway 19 and Sibley County Road 2 near Gibbon. Cynthia Lee Labrie, 62, Redwood Falls, was driving a 2013 Ford F150 eastbound on Highway 19 when she collided with a southbound 2019 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Shana Tonet Johnson, 47, Hillsboro, Wi.
