New Ulm Police •Police took a report 3:10 p.m. Tuesday from 24-year-old New Ulm woman who fell victim to a scam.  The caller identified himself as a postal inspector and stated he was investigating mail fraud through someone taking out a Capital One credit card in name. The women did notice a credit card from Capital One that had been opened in her name. The male caller was asking for additional information. New Ulm Police Department • Police responded to a verbal domestic call at 4:32 p.m. from the 2200 block of North Broadway. Responders determined that one individual involved was intoxicated and had driven to the residence prior to the call. Officers arrested a 42-year-old New Ulm man and took him to the Brown County Jail. • Police received a call at 12:48 p.m. from the block of 600 North Street from a 48-year-old woman who said a 50-year-old man from Tucson, Arizona sent him emails, violating an Order of Protection. A citation for violation was mailed to the man.

New Ulm Police Department • Police stopped a 34-year-old Mankato man on 7th N and German Street Saturday at 1:23 am for poor driving. The man showed signs of impairment. Following transport to New Ulm Medical Center for a urine test, the man was transported to Brown County Jail.  • A 52-year-old New Ulm man reported to police at 7:30 am Saturday that a fish finder was stolen from his truck. The value of the fish finder is $1,500. Video surveillance matches the car commonly driven by the 56-year-old Fairmont who the New Ulm man suspected of the crime.  • At 4:16 pm ...

New Ulm Police Department • Emergency personnel from Sibley County, Winthrop, Gaylord, and State Patrol responded to a crash 12:35am Wednesday on State Highway 15 near County Road 33. A 20-year-old man from Iowa driving a White Kia Forte collided with a semi-truck driven by a 50-year-old Iowa man. No injuries occurred but both vehicles were left disabled from the sustained damages. •A 34-year-old woman from Lafayette left Walmart Friday at 4:39 pm without paying after her card was declined for a purchase of $228.84. The woman claimed that she was unaware that the card was declined.  • Police responded to a call at 10:52 pm Friday that a homeless man was trespassing at Broadway Haus. The 27-year-old man was reportedly harassing residents. He was served a trespass notice and is banned from the premises.  • At 11:55 pm Friday police arrived at the Best Western Plus following threats. New Ulm Police •Police stopped a vehicle 8:32 pm Tuesday at Highway 14 and Garden Street for an equipment violation.  Signs of impairment were detected from the driver, a 55-year-old women from Sleepy Eye.  Due to the women not cooperating with the breath test at the stop, a search warrant was obtained for her blood.  She was transported to the New Ulm Medical Center where the sample was obtained.  She was then transported to the Brown County Jail.  Once the blood test results are learned, a copy of the report will be sent to the City Attorney for the consideration of DWI ...
