New Ulm Police • Received a call at 4:13 p.m. Friday from a resident about fireworks and explosives in the 1100 block of South Jefferson Street. Police interviewed juveniles and leads on suspicious vehicles in the area were followed up on. An investigation continues. • Received a report at 5:30 p.m. Friday of a 27-year-old New Ulm woman who posted suicidal thoughts on a Snapchat story. New Ulm Police • Received a theft report from a 32-year-old New Ulm man at 10:56 p.m. Thursday on the 2200 block of N. Broadway. Stolen electronics and clothing stolen sometime in the last few days were reported to be valued at $1,200. Broken lock damage was estimated at $300. A report went to investigators.

New Ulm Police • Responded to a report of a drug deal at 311 Minnesota Street North at 4:08 p.m. Wednesday. A 45-year-old New Ulm man was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail for alleged felony third-degree and fifth-degree drug possession within the vicinity of public housing. About 1.67 grams of methamphetamine was seized by police. A report for consideration of alleged drug charges on a 54-year-old New Ulm woman went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office. • Attempted to stop a vehicle for a stop sign violation at Center and Garden Street at 9:08 p.m. Wednesday. ...

New Ulm Police • Responded to a two-vehicle crash reported at 11:03 a.m. July 2 at the intersection of North Garden Street and North Highland Avenue. A 2006 Freightliner was driven northbound on Garden Street by David Keith Gravely, 59, New Ulm, when it collided with a 2007 Nissan Murano driven westbound on North Highland by Brenda Jean Boline, 60, Watkins. The Nissan had severe, disabling damage to the rear passenger side and rear end. Damage was minor to the front end of the semi. Minnesota State Patrol • Responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of State Highway 4 and Brown County Road 22, Stark Township at 1:46 p.m. Tuesday. A 2023 Ford Transit van driven by Tanar Dean Creech, 29, Belle Plaine, was eastbound on CR 22 when he collided with a 2022 Jeep Wrangler driven by Erika Georgina Castro Serrato, 45, St. James. Both drivers wore seat belts but were transported to Sleepy Eye Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Airbags deployed in both vehicles.
