New Ulm Police Department • Emergency personnel from Sibley County, Winthrop, Gaylord, and State Patrol responded to a crash 12:35am Wednesday on State Highway 15 near County Road 33. A 20-year-old man from Iowa driving a White Kia Forte collided with a semi-truck driven by a 50-year-old Iowa man. No injuries occurred but both vehicles were left disabled from the sustained damages. •A 34-year-old woman from Lafayette left Walmart Friday at 4:39 pm without paying after her card was declined for a purchase of $228.84. The woman claimed that she was unaware that the card was declined.  • Police responded to a call at 10:52 pm Friday that a homeless man was trespassing at Broadway Haus. The 27-year-old man was reportedly harassing residents. New Ulm Police •Police stopped a vehicle 8:32 pm Tuesday at Highway 14 and Garden Street for an equipment violation.  Signs of impairment were detected from the driver, a 55-year-old women from Sleepy Eye.  Due to the women not cooperating with the breath test at the stop, a search warrant was obtained for her blood.  She was transported to the New Ulm Medical Center where the sample was obtained.  She was then transported to the Brown County Jail.  Once the blood test results are learned, a copy of the report will be sent to the City Attorney for the consideration of DWI ...

New Ulm Police •Took a theft report at 6:56 p.m. Friday at Wal-Mart in which an 18-year-old New Ulm man had five skip scanning events, totaling $225.51 in unpaid merchandise.  The man stated all the events were not intentional.  Report sent to the City Attorney for the consideration of theft charges.  •Police stopped a vehicle for speeding at 10:46 p.m. Friday, near 20th S. and Minnesota Street. A 2014 Chevrolet Equinox driven southbound on Kimberly Ann Doust, 65, Winthrop, failed to stop at the intersection and collided with a westbound 2021 Audi S4 driven by Eli Jon Samuelson, 26, Sleepy Eye.
