New Ulm Police • Took a report at 2:02 p.m. Friday from a 31-year-old St. James Walmart automotive center employee who said a 57-year-old New Ulm male customer was upset over a past service appointment, took a swing at him and missed. The New Ulm man said he was verbally assaulted by the Walmart employee and that the employee swung at him. A video review showed the customer swinging at the employee but the employee did not swing at the customer. New Ulm Police • Talked to a 50-year-old New Ulm man at 8:10 p.m. Wednesday at his residence. The man said he and his 37-year-old girlfriend from North Carolina got into a disagreement. The man said he kicked her out and left all her belongings outside. The woman came to the law enforcement center later in the evening and wanted to report assault charges against the man. Scratch marks and redness were seen on the man and woman. New Ulm Police • Responded to a two-vehicle crash at Center and Garden Street at 7:50 a.m. Wednesday. A 2018 SUV driven northbound by Tyrah Renee Seidl, 27, New Ulm, reported stopping at the Garden St. stop sign, then pulled forward but didn’t see a 2011 car driven westbound by Benjamin Strackbein, 50, New Ulm. Strackbein was transported to New Ulm Medical Center with unknown injuries. Both drivers wore seat belts. Both vehicles were towed. The SUV had front end damage. The car had driver’s side damage.
