• Responded to a two-vehicle crash on snowy and icey road conditions at 2:26 p.m. Friday on State Highway 5, Washington Lake Township, Sibley County. A 2021 Buick Enclave was driven eastbound on Highway 5 by Nathan Bentley Stevermer, 49, Sleepy Eye, when it collided with a westbound 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Katelyn Ann Bjorklund, 33, Arlington. Katelyn and Collette Evelyn Bjorklund, under age 1, Arlington and Elizabeth Anna McGarvey, 31, Shakopee, were transported to an Arlington hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Nathan Stevermer, Henry John Stevermer, 10, and Nicole Marie Stevermer, 50, were transported to Waconia Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Air bags deployed in both vehicles. Assisting agencies included the Sibley County Sheriff’s Office, Green Isle and Hamburg Fire, and Ridgeview, Arlington and Gaylord Ambulances.
