Minnesota State Patrol

• Reported a two-vehicle crash with injuries at 3:37 p.m. Thursday on State Highway 19 at 8th Street in Gaylord. A 2016 GMC Terrain driven northbound toward 8th Street by Shian Marie Welcome Kaveney, 30, Gaylord, collided with a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox driven westbound on Highway 19 by Kristine Marie Leshovsky, 53, Hanska. The Terrain flipped and came to a rest on its roof. Kaveney wore a seat belt but was transported to a Glencoe hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Leshovsky wore a seat belt, had a non-life threatening injury and was not transported. Alcohol was not involved. The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office, Gaylord Police/Fire/Ambulance and Winthrop Ambulance assisted.

New Ulm Police

• Responded to New Ulm Medical Center at 7:14 p.m. Thursday for an assault report at a New Ulm residence. A 39-year-old New Ulm woman said she was assaulted by her son, a 14-year-old New Ulm boy. Officers noticed visible injuries. The woman admitted to spitting on her son during the altercation. A report went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office for consideration of domestic assault charges against the boy.

• Responded to a disturbance report at 10:19 a.m. Friday at a group home on German St. South. Officers arrested a 44-year-old Crosby man after his Crow Wing County probation officer issued an apprehension and detention order. A report went to Crow Wing County Community Corrections.
