New Ulm Police
• A 24-year-old Gibbon woman turned herself in at the Brown County Law Enforcement Center on a Brown County warrant for disorderly conduct charges at 10:44 a.m. Monday.
• Took a report of a 20-year-old New Ulm woman living in a group home was seen getting into a vehicle on Southridge Road at 1:57 a.m. Sunday. A later returned to the home. A report was done for documentation.
• Stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation at 12:21 a.m. Sunday at Center and Garden St. Impairment signs were detected from the driver, a 34-year-old New Ulm man. He was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail. Reports when to the New Ulm City Attorney’s office for third-degree DWI charges and to probation.
• Responded to a disturbance call at a group home on Washington St. North at 7:38 p.m. Saturday. An 18-year-old New Ulm man told police he and another resident, a 29-year-old New Ulm man, got into a verbal argument. The 18-year-old was arrested and cited for threats of violence.
• A 45-year-old New Ulm woman told police her ex-boyfriend, a 38-year-old Klossner man, refused to return a vehicle to her that she borrowed to him. Police explained it was a civil issue but a report will go the man’s probation officer.
• Stopped a motorcycle for an equipment violation at 6:14 p.m. Friday at Garden St. and Birchwood Dr. It was learned the driver, a 31-year-old New Ulm man, did not possess a valid driver’s license. He was arrested for driving after cancellation, inimical to public safety and transported to the Brown County Jail. Reports went to the city attorney and probation.
• Took many reports of skip-scanning totaling $179.49 by a 22-year-old New Ulm woman at Walmart at 4:50 p.m. Friday. A report went to the city attorney for theft charge consideration.
• Took a report Friday of an intoxicated man entering a home on State St. North that was not his, then leaving on foot. A dog with the man defecated in the home. A 47-year old man was found walking a dog. He was transported to the New Ulm Medical Center for mental health concerns. A report went to Brown County Probation.
• Arrested a 23-year-old New Ulm man on a Domestic Abuse No Contact Order (DANCO) violation. The man left items on his former girlfriend’s vehicle and was transported to the Brown County Jail at 7:35 a.m. Friday. A report went to the city attorney for charge consideration.
• Located a 40-year-old New Ulm man Tuesday with an Hennepin County warrant for threats of violence at a relative’s residence. The man was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail. A report went to the Brown County Attorney’s Offcie for consideration of a threats of violence charge.
• Responded to a two-vehicle crash without injuries at 6:06 a.m. Thurday at 5th St. South and Minnesota. A 2002 Ford Ranger driven southbound by Carrie Bryer Cardin, 55, Sleepy Eye, was smoking a cigarette that fell into her lap before she hit a legally parked 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis. Damage was significant to both vehicles.
• Stopped a man for speeding at 4:40 a.m. Friday at Highland Ave. and Garden St. North. The driver, a 49-year-old Owatonna man, did not possess a valid driver’s license. His driving privileges were cancelled inimical to public safety. He was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail and later cited for speeding and driving after cancellation-IPS. Reports went to the county attorney’s office and probation.
