New Ulm Police
• Received a report at 2:26 p.m. Wednesday about a caller who claimed to be from the Brown County Sheriff’s Office. The caller hung up when they were told the person they called was a judge. A report was done for documentation.
• Received a report of a black lab/mix and bulldog dog fighting at the New Ulm Dog Park at 3:07 p.m. Wednesday. One dog owner said their dog has bitten. A veterinarian could not find puncture marks on the dog. A report went to the animal control officer.
• Received a scam/fraud report at 6:37 p.m. Wednesday. The caller said there was an unauthorized $204.96 charge on their credit card. The caller said their credit card company would not cancel the charge because the timeframe was too long ago. A report went to a police investigator.
Redwood County Sheriff’s Office
• Responded to a one-vehicle crash with minor injuries at the intersection of CSAH 4 and CSAH 2, Redwood County at 10:19 p.m. Wednesday. A 2014 Chevrolet Impala driven by Gregorio Haala, 31, Springfield, was southbound on CSAH 2 when he tried to avoid a deer and power pole. The vehicle rolled twice. Haala and another vehicle occupant were transported to a hospital with minor injuries. The car was towed with disabling damage. Other assisting agencies were the Morgan Ambulance/Fire Dept., Centra Care Ambulance, the Minnesota State Patrol and Redwood Falls Police.
